The Wellington Middle School Girls Tennis team traveled to Goddard on Wednesday, October 3rd to compete for the Pioneer League Title. The Lady Knights accomplished their goal of bringing home a team championship. There were seven league schools competing. Every Wellington player won a medal in each division. Results are as follows: Erianne Adams, #1 Singles: 3rd place, Ashlyn Whaley, #2 Singles: 2nd place, Mekenna Crowe, #3 Singles: 1st place, Ciarra Myers, #4 Singles: 3rd place, Sonia Schmidt/Dani Anderson, #1 Doubles: 1st place, Kailey Jenkins/Alex Kimball, #2 Doubles: 1st place, Ashley Collins/Savannah Cornejo, #3 Doubles: 1st place and Shanlyn Hefley/Hannah Hillebrand, #4 Doubles: 1st place. Each team had six girls competing in four different divisions. All six of Wellington's players advanced to the finals in each of their divisions by all going undefeated in pool play. Ashlyn Whaley was victorious in her championship match of #2 singles, earning a first place medal and losing only a total of 3 games in five matches. Earning second place medals were Erianne Adams in #1 singles, Sonia Schmidt and Dani Anderson in #1 doubles and Alex Kimball and Kailey Jenkins in #2 doubles. The Wellington Middle School Tennis Team hosted a dual vs. Valley Center on 9/6/07. The Knights swept doubles play 7-0 and won singles play 13-1. Wellington won the dual 20-1. The Knights are now 3-1 in league play.

The Wellington Middle School Girls Tennis Team competed in their first home dual of the season against
Robert Goddard on 8/31/07. The Knights again dominated this meet winning the dual 29-4. Seventeen
matches were won 6-0 with the Knights not giving up a single game to their opponent "These girls are
determined to be successful every time they step out on the court. They are great representatives of

The Wellington Middle School Girls Tennis Team competed in their first dual of the
season on 8/28/07.
They traveled to Andover Central to take on the Jaguars. The Knights
dominated the meet winning the dual
15-1. 9 of the 18 matches were won 6-0 with the Knights
not giving up a single game to their
opponent "These girls are working very hard in practice and
the results against Andover Central are
