ATTN: Restricted Drivers and Farm Permits

When the school has an activity on the weekend you cannot drive. School is not actually in session. We had a concerned citizen raise a question about kids driving to weekend practices. I have checked with the City Attorney, Kerwin Spencer, and he stated under the current driving laws pertaining to these types of licenses, it would be illegal for a student to drive. This would include practices, film sessions, or any other event at the school. To make it easy to remember, only when school is in session Monday thru Friday is it legal to drive to the school. If school is not in session, it is not legal. Thanks for your cooperation - if you have questions please feel free to contact me.

NO U-TURN signs are posted in front of the high school for
safety reasons. Often, the sun is at a "blinding" angle and we
have had at least one accident and numerous near
misses continue on a daily basis. Please proceed forward when dropping off your student(s) and utilize the turn-a-round just east of the student drop-off zone. Your safety and the safety of the students are of utmost importance to us!
If ticketed, we are told the cost is $179.50. Save money and keep everyone safe!
NO U-TURNS!
