More GREAT NEWS for Crusader Country!

Cross Country returned from the AVCTL Division III/IV League Meet on Thursday last week with several individual medals, league honors, and the Division IV LEAGUE TITLE for the Boys Varsity Team!!!!! Collegiate was the team to beat in this division, and Boys Varsity scored 12 points better than the Spartans. Boys JV also took 1st over the only other school whose roster was big enough to make up a team in that event, Clearwater.

This marks the first time in over half a century that Wellington has taken first at League. The last time a boys varsity team from Wellington won league was when the 1971 team (which happened to include Individual State Champion Terry Glenn) were AVL League Champs.

Congratulations to the WHS Cross Country Team and to Coach Showman, Coach Young, and Coach Wallace!!
