Mrs. Melissa Buchanan's "Youth Entrepreneurship Class" had their Market Day this week at WHS. After a lot of planning, the group went shopping on Monday and then on Wednesday, their pop-up businesses were setup and in action Wednesday during all "3" lunch periods. Profit reports are not in yet - suspect though there was more black than red on the post-day ledgers! The pics below are courtesy of WHS Yearbook Staff!

Chase Pfalzgraf and Mackenzie Heacock, qualified last weekend in Chanute for today's (Saturday) State 4A Cross Country Meet in Wamego! A big sendoff took place on Wednesday for Chase and Mackenzie (2 days early due to PT Conferences/No School) out at WHS. Unfortunate news was received today prior to the conclusion of the State Meet that Jr. Mackenzie Heacock had rolled her ankle Friday evening and would not be able to compete on Saturday. Not the outcome you want at a State event for sure.
