Here's the wrap-up on the Rose Hill Invite from Friday & Saturday...
AT ROSE HILL:
113 lb Brennan Cantrell (SR), went 2-2 during the 2 day event, pinning Flower of Winfield (4:32 mark), lost by pin to Pavlacka of Andale. On Saturday, and on the backside, Cantrell came out on fire, pinned Fernandez of Hutchinson (2;19 mark), but lost to Egan of Derby by pin.
Here are the updates, the most recent on top, of the wrestling action at Rose Hill Friday. Action continues today for Brennan, Kanden and Kenny. The latter two will be in their respective championship matches (195 lbs and 220 lbs). The former is on the backside of the bracket at 1-1 will need to fight his way back towards medal contention!

Congratulations to the WHS Scholars Bowl Team…you are looking at the 4A Regional Champs and WHS is hosting the State 4A Meet next Saturday, the 15th!
The competing members were Keegan Dridi, Hunter Bryant, Karsten Gill, Caleb Starnes, Julia Starnes, and Mason Lough!

TEAM RESULTS
Congratulations to WHS Senior Zane Cornejo, who signed a "Letter of Intent" with KCAC's McPherson College, Wednesday morning at WHS, to play football in the 2020-2021 school year. Present for the signing were Zane's parents Jamie and Maria Cornejo, and 2 of his WHS Football Coaches, Head Coach Zane Aguilar and Coach Ryan Elder.
Mid-season tournaments are over and all the squads are back together again...well, almost. The WHS Girls program whose numbers were down a bit this year, resulting in no "C" Team, those numbers were down even more Tuesday when about 1/3 of the squad was home ill. Consequently, on the girls side, only the Varsity game was played.

@ Mid-America Classic in McPherson...the Lady Crusaders ended the 3 day tourney 1-2, finishing 4th out of 8 teams. Congratulations to WHS Sophomore Ali Zeka for making the All-Tourney Team. (Olathe South girl made it also but is not pictured). Way to go Ali!! (courtesy pic)
The CRUSADERS OF THE STAGE at WHS presented a variety of funny and entertaining "one act plays", written and directed by the students themselves, over this weekend. Numerous patrons were on hand for their opening on Friday, be sure to check out the pics below!!
