Wellington varsity tennis continue to prove that they’re an adept opponent in invitationals, this time on the road to Circle. The team took home the 2nd place plaque in what Head Coach Brian Aufdengarten called a “highly competitive” eight-team invitational last Thursday.
Hargis Creek and Wellington played host to over 400 middle and high school runners this Saturday for the annual Wellington Cross Country Invitational. Eleven Wellington High School athletes medaled! Additionally, the varsity Lady Crusaders took 2nd as a team behind Valley Center. Goddard High took home the trophy for the boys’ race.
WHS Cross Country has 18 athletes out for the sport this year, and they will be at Hargis Creek bright and early on Saturday for their home meet, which usually hosts over 500 middle and high school runners. Below is the roster, schedule, and link to the Wellington.cc team photos!
2024 WHS CROSS COUNTRY SCHEDULE
Wellington was back in action at the 9th Street courts yesterday evening for their second home varsity meet in as many weeks, and once again, the Lady Crusaders won the quad. Coaches Aufdengarten and Adams swapped in some different varsity players from last week for their shot at a hometown performance, including senior Scout Douglas and freshmen Gracie Thomson, Addi Thomson, and Sienna Goodrum.
The subvarsity football season debuted at Sellers Park this Monday with two quarters of a "C" game followed by a JV game. The JV Crusaders fell short of a win with a final score of 12-20. View the Wellington.cc photos as well as some great photos from new WHS yearbook photographers below!

We've finally got the Wellington.cc volleyball team photos posted to the gallery! The team took their turn for a "Media Day" with the local photographers prior to their scrimmage held on August 29.
