WHS JV Girls Tennis squad hosted Circle, Eisenhower and Winfield on Monday at the 9th St. Courts. Here is a summary from Coach Aufdengarten!

"The JV girls tennis team was in action on Monday hosting their first tennis match at home this season
.  Wellington entered two teams in the meet and there were several medal winning performances for both teams.  The Wellington Red team was led by Blanche Provot, an exchange student from France.  She went 4-0 on the day at #2 singles good for 1st place.  Also placing 1st for Wellington was the #1 doubles team of Riley Anderson & Heidi Gulick.  The pair went 3-1 on the day, but it was good enough for the gold medal.  Addie Hinshaw saw her first JV action of the year, after playing a couple of varsity meets and she also went 3-1 which placed her 2nd overall at #1 singles.  The #2 doubles team of Alyra Koerner & Abby Mraz also finished 3-1 for the Wellington Red team which gave them second place as well.

The Wellington White team was led by their two doubles teams who both finished 3rd overall.  At #1 doubles was the team of Kyra Cornejo & Kendall Janzen, who finished 2-2 on the day, and at #2 doubles was Thalia Garcia & Avery Yonash who finished 2-2 also.  Stellar Young played at #1 singles and went 1-3, and River Douglas played #2 singles and also went 1-3.
