Knight / Lady Knight Basketball Off and Running!

Winter sports are underway, well at least at the middle school! Both the girls and boys 7/8 A&B teams had their season openers last night (Thursday), the boys hosted HAYSVILLE WEST MS here at WMS in both gyms and the girls traveled to HAYSVILLE WEST for some road action.

Overall, a good night for the KNIGHTS and LADY KNIGHTS – the former SPLIT, winning 2 and losing 2 but the latter (the ladies!) swept Haysville West (on the road), coming home with 4 wins and no losses – great start to the season!

Here are the stats we have so far!

It Was Old(er) vs Younger @ WHS Saturday!

An on and off tradition for many years and one that has consistently occurred since the new high school opened over 10 years ago, continued on Saturday (112617) when what we will now call, the Magnificent Seven, came home to WHS to scrimmage their younger counterparts as others had done with them at different times in the past. To be honest, the "old" boys didn't do too bad, minus a little huffin' and puffin' at times...(oh wait a minute, that was me walking up and down the side court taking pics!) :)

WHS Juniors Spend Day in Kansas City

You can read books about it, you can listen to lectures about it, you can even watch videos and other media materials BUT there is nothing like the real thing and it's the real thing WHS Juniors participated in Tuesday on a 16 hour road trip to Kansas City and back home. WHS instructors Mike Wilmoth and Rick Phelps oversee these annual excursions. Between the 5:15AM departure and 9:45pm arrival back home, here's what they did!
