The WMS 7/8 Volleyball Girls hosted their counterparts from Winfield on Thursday at WMS. Wellington pulled in 3 wins out of 4 matches (7A, 7B, 8A, 8B) as the season winds down towards PIONEER LEAGUE action Saturday, Oct. 14th. Prior to that though, one more match-up on Thursday, Oct. 12th HERE, the Lady Knights will host Mulvane MS.
It was AVCTL League Tournament time Tuesday for our pioneering Varsity Girls Golf Team, experiencing their first year in existence and doing quite well thank you!
Today at Hesston, all of our Lady Crusaders improved on their scores from previous tournaments. Payton Ginter (a freshman), shot a career best 88 to finish 6th for the Tournament and be named First Team All League!! Is that exciting or what? Congratulations Payton - outstanding!!

Head Girls Tennis Coach Brian Aufdengarten was very happy after Monday's action at Collegiate. It was AVCTL League Tournament time and our Lady Crusaders finished 2nd as a team - Coach Aufty indicated the team hadn't finished that high since 2010. Way to represent LADIES!!
Congratulations to the WHS JV Girls Tennis team - the 6 young ladies were in competition Thursday at the JV AVCTL LEAGUE TOURNAMENT @ Collegiate and came away with a strong 3rd place finish! Here's how it all shook out:

Our WMS 7/8 Girls Tennis Team hosted Derby Thursday afternoon at the 9th St. Courts. A tough day for the Lady Knights against a very strong Derby group.
Winners were: Kami Reichenberger, Jensen Lynnes, Josie Walker and Emma Stover. Good luck at the Pioneer League Tournament next week ladies!!
The WHS and WMS Cross Country Squads traveled north to Halstead on Thursday and brought home a NEW WHS RECORD HOLDER in the 5000 Meter! Congratulations to Mackenzie Heacock, a sophomore at WHS, who finished 12th with a time of 22.30 in the 5K, a MEDAL, a personal best for Mackenzie and as already noted - the NEW WHS RECORD HOLDER!! Congratulations Mackenzie - that is awesome!
