WHS Senior Kaitlyn Hain was crowned the 2021-2022 Duchess Friday evening at Sellers Park, during halftime of the El Dorado vs WHS football game. Congratulations Kaitlyn. This year's candidates, in addition to Kaitlyn were Airalyn Frame, Nikki Peninger, Josey Wolf, and Ali Zeka!

The escorts for the candidates are Dylan Dickinson, Kaiden Hernandez, Korbin Jones, Justin Norris, and Logan Swingle, Carson Rademacher and Mikayla Elmore watched over the child attendants, Oliver Welllington and Lyric Armstrong.

A tradition that began back in the 70's, continues on into the 20's as the Crusaders prepare for opening HOME action on September 10th vs Collegiate. It will also be YOUTH NIGHT. The season opener is slated for one week earlier, September 3rd, on the road at Clearwater. Both are 7PM kickoffs. The 2021 Fall Sports season is about to begin!
Sunday was FORMAL PICS day at WELLINGTON.CC - it was a little wet and a little misty, but we managed to get some photoshoot time in, nonetheless! A great group of young ladies - very impressive, across the board!

A group of Seniors and a few underclassmen as well, pitched in the past week to get the BRIDGE ready to go for the 2020 Football Season. Mission was accomplished! The DUKE DANCE was the final chapter to a week of royal fun for students at WHS and other schools across the district. On Friday, Dakota Lynnes was crowned the 2018-2019 WHS DUKE. Following that announcement and the rest of the Boys Varsity basketball game, it was time to dance. The pics below are COURTESY PICS WHS YEARBOOK!!
The traditional DUKE PEP ASSEMBLY was held Friday afternoon at WHS, just hours before the big crowning of this school year's DUKE!
All the candidates and their escorts were on hand, the band played, the color guard performed, the cheerleaders cheered, students, faculty and parents looked on as the end of the school day and Spirit Week approached. Oh yeah, the Senior Boys did their rendition, if you will, of RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL'S "ROCKETTES"! Quite the performance!! :)
The Senior Football Players and Cheerleaders have worked hard the past 3 days and their work is now finished - the 2017 BRIDGE has received it's annual RENEWAL and it looks awesome! It won't be long until the IRONDUKES pass that way to VICTORY! Great Job Crusaders - The Tradition Continues!!
Friday night, during halftime of the boys varsity game, the new DUKE was crowned - congratulations to Logan Jones who know reigns over the Crusaderdom!. The other candidates (as you’ve seen in the many pics) are Hayden Baker, James Hinman, Ian King and Austin Sears!Congrats to all 5 – all 5 are great guys for sure!!
